I had great intentions to put together the most beautiful holiday outfit post to show you how I’ve worn this J.Crew Factory plaid bow skirt. You know…the kind of photos you take holding fake, prettily wrapped packages against a backdrop of a Chrismtas tree farm? lol…well, that’s not today’s post. Nevertheless, this skirt is the bomb and I want to show you how I have been wearing it.
Despite how much I love my Christmas dresses from Shein, this plaid bow skirt has been a workhorse in my closet since I bought it on Black Friday. If you’re on my email list (if not, sign up HERE!) you know I shared this weeks ago as one of my Five Friday Favorites. It was an on-sale, Black Friday impulse buy and I’ve never looked back. It is the perfect skirt to bring a little holiday cheer to any occasion.

The Backstory
Today I will be sharing four different ways to style this skirt but it won’t be a typical outfit post. Why? Well…we just couldn’t get them photographed. With the sun setting early and my husband working late, the only time we have to photograph outfits is on the weekend. Sunday we planned to head to a Christmas tree farm (would have been the perfect backdrop for these!😭 ) but it poured down rain all day.
So, I missed the post on Monday and this skirt is sold out. But, I really wanted to make sure that I gave those of you who bought the skirt, a few ways to wear it before the holiday season is over. This morning over on my Instastories I will be styling this skirt in four different ways. The lighting is terrible, but when you’re trying to shoot an outfit in the limited light you have before rushing to work, you go with it. (Side note: I don’t know how you people manage to have the perfect lighting for indoor outfit photos. Every time I try, I end up with it being too dark or too back-lit. Anyway…another time…)
