I’m just going to come right out and say it; lately, the fashion scene hasn’t been all about accessories that pop. It’s all about monochrome and minimalism, pale and muted colors…but you know what? Sometimes I don’t care if I’m featuring the current trends. I look better in vibrant colors! Accessories that pop make me happy! And so, today I tell you – be you, even if it isn’t en vogue.
Fashion is about self-expression and, for me, that means pulling out the stops and rockin’ the bright pink tassel earrings and turquoise statement necklaces. Full disclosure; most of the items in this post are old. They were things I bought years ago that I still love and wear all the time. I haven’t featured them as much lately on the blog because I don’t like sharing items that aren’t in stock. Plus, I like to try to stay on top of current fashion trends.
Today I’m sharing these bright accessories because I love them, still wear them and get complimented on them all the time! Sometimes you’ve just gotta be you, even if it isn’t in style now. I have rounded up similar items because I know there are more of us out there who love accessories that pop and who rue the day dainty necklaces replaced statement ones.

Turquoise Accessories that Pop
I just love the look of turquoise against a black and white outfit. This dress is one of my current favorites because the black and white stripes are perfect for accessorizing. These fun pumps are from our wedding five years ago and I still get compliments every time I wear them. I’m obsessed with Betsey Johnson heels. In my younger days I would totally have bought these but now I stick to mid-heels. There aren’t a ton of similar options out there but these (almost out-of-stock) are the closest I’ve seen in years!
The turquoise statement necklace in this post is part of the Sugarfix by Baublebar line at Target. It’s a great way to get BaubleBar-style statement jewelry for less. Lately they have been featuring more muted tones so I turned to Amazon to find some options for you. You can see them in the widget below.
This turquoise cocktail ring from Kendra Scott is another favorite I can’t seem to get rid off. It’s a fun way to tie in an accent color to the rest of an outfit too.

BaubleBar Favorites from the Past
BaubleBar is my favorite place to shop for statement jewelry and has been for years. Hopefully, you saw my alert on Facebook last week (if not, make sure to follow me here) about their Friends and Family Sale. It’s a great way to snag quality jewelry at a more affordable price. The pink tassel earrings featured in this post, along with the still-popular-in-my-eyes Mason Ring, were both from BaubleBar. Luckily, their popularity led to a lot of copy-cat items. I’ve linked some of the tassel earrings for you below. You can find some similar pave rings HERE and HERE.

Favorite Bracelets to go with Pops of Color
A few years ago I fell in love with the David Yurman Cable Bracelets featured by Emily Gemma. They’re out of my budget so I started looking for other alternatives. It took awhile, but finally retailers started making similar cable-style cuff bracelets. They go with everything.

I love the pop of color, especially as the days get chiller and the skies get grey. Another thing I actually appreciate is blogger being honest and repeating items from their closets wether they are new or have been in their closets forever.

Me too! When the skies get grey that just means we have to supply the sun and bright colors do that! I agree with you about bloggers repeating items from their closet. It’s hard because you want people to be able to get an item if they love it but there comes a point where you just gotta be real! I can’t buy new items all the time but I can show you a bunch of different ways to wear turquoise heels! Ha! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

I love this look and your bright accessories! I agree that bold, bright accessories are one of my favorite ways to add color to a look as well. I love the mix of turquoise and pink too–those are two of my favorite colors, and I love them together!

Turquoise is my sisters favourite colour – it aways makes me think of her. Love expressing myself through fashion too. I really love seeing others too xx

Not only do I love pops of color, but I also love that you chose to wear accessories you’ve already own and have admired for years. I never thought about turquoise with black and white, but I’m convinced it’s something I need to try after reading your post.

Wonderful! I’m glad I was able to inspire you to try something new! And yes, especially in the blogging world, there is this pressure to be on top of the latest trends. But sometimes, old trends suit us better and I’m tired of pretending to not wear what I love! I’m glad I’m not the only one!
