I love a good, flowy maxi skirt for all seasons! In the summer it’s free and breezy and in the winter it’s comfortable and long, keeping the cool air out. When the sun starts to come out more, I start thinking about buying items that can transition from Winter into Spring and maxi skirts can do just that.
The maxi skirt I’m wearing in the photos would not be one I would wear in the summer, since it is much thicker than a lot of the maxi skirts I’ve tried on. But it’s such a great example of how versatile a gray skirt can be. I love this one because it is so warm and flowy, but I will link a few other options for grey maxi skirts below. The sun has been bringing us some absolutely breathtaking days here in the Seattle area, but don’t let it fool you! It’s COLD outside! So, some coffee and a blanket scarf are the perfect accessories! Try this outfit with a variety of different colored blanket scarves. The gray base is perfect to dress up in a number of different ways.
One thing I would recommend with maxi skirts like this is to wear them with a belt. The belt helps define the shape of the skirt and makes it a tad more formal for a work environment.
