Overview
At More to Mrs. E, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to our website. We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information for marketing or other services. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We will limit the collection of data to only what is necessary for us to run the blog and give readers the best experience possible. That being said, sometimes it is necessary for us to collect or process information about you to give you the best experience. Some of that information may include:
- Information you provide from filling out an online contact form or by adding a comment to a post;
- Information that your computer’s internet browser sends us automatically when you visit our website, such as your computer’s IP address or information about which internet browser you are using;
- Information about how you use our website or our services, such as which pages you visit, how frequently you visit and so on.
This privacy policy has been compiled to help you understand what information we collect, how it is used, and what we are doing to safeguard that information. ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) as described in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our website.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
More to Mrs. E will collect personal information about your visit to the Site only for the purpose of providing the Site, identifying and communicating with you, responding to your requests/inquiries, and analyzing content performance. Personal data may include your name, email address, personal account preferences, and technical data, such as information about cookies. We will always seek to gain your explicit consent to providing this information before we collect it from you.
We may also collect information on how you access and use More to Mrs. E through “Usage Data”. This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. These do not, generally, allow us to identify you directly. This data is used to detect and prevent malicious or fraudulent activity on our systems. It can also be used to identify patterns of behavior (such as repeated malicious attempts to access a system).
Comments & Contact forms
When visitors leave comments on the site or complete the contact form on our website, we collect the data shown in the forms, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Information for the Contact Form is not kept on the website but may be accessed by the Askimet service and typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself). This is not used for marketing purposes, but only for spam-detection and site security.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Tracking & Cookies Data
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information.
Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. For instance, we use cookies to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity, which enables us to provide you with improved services. We also use cookies to help us compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may also use trusted third-party services that track this information on our behalf.
Examples of Cookies we use:
- Session Cookies. These expire at the end of your browser session and allow us to link your actions during that time to a particular browser session, helping us understanding how you use our Service so we can better serve you.
- Preference Cookies. We use Preference Cookies to remember your preferences and various settings.
- Security Cookies. We use Security Cookies for security purposes.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Most commercial browsers (such as Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc) allow you to set preferences for whether to allow or block website cookies. You can do this through your browser settings. They will also give you tools to allow you to remove any cookies that have already been set. If you turn cookies off, some of the features that make your site experience more efficient may not function properly.
When you log on to www.moretomrse.com, we have incorporated a specific cookie functionality that allows you to easily indicate when you first visit the site whether or not you are OK with the cookies being set on your device. These cookies are essential and those that do not contain/track any personal data. By continuing to use the site beyond this cookie information (scrolling the page, clicking links, etc) then you are consenting to the use of cookies, and we will set other non-essential cookies as described here. Mailing List
As part of the registration process for our email newsletter and to provide freebies, such as “Luch-Box Notes” and “Best Places to Find Teacher Clothes”, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to share information you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you with promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing us via the contact info above.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand what people look at on our website and increase the site’s functionality. When people visit our site, information about the visit (what pages visited, how long spent on that page, etc) is sent in an anonymous form to Google Analytics and there is no way to identify individuals from the data. Since this data is not personal data, we do not specifically ask for your consent. Cookies are used as described in the policy above. For more information on Google Analytics, see their Privacy policy here.
You can opt-out of having your activity on the service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity. Learn more about about the opt-out and how to properly install the browser add-on here. For more information on the privacy practices of Google, please visit the Google Privacy & Terms web page: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en
Google Fonts
By using Google Fonts, we make a connection to the Google Fonts API and, unless your browser has already stored a copy of the font in use (by virtue of visiting another website that uses it), your browser will download a copy of that font. This all happens in near real time, and means that our website content will be displayed on your device in the way we had intended it, regardless of whether the particular font is installed on your device. The data collected by Google is extremely limited and ensures a clear and consistent display of our web content in a way that improves a user’s experience.
The Google Fonts API connection is unauthenticated, meaning that it will work regardless of whether you are logged into Google. It does not rely on cookies being sent to Google. Google may capture your device’s IP address as part of this process, and uses this data only in aggregate form to understand the popularity of individual fonts. More detail can be found on the Google Fonts FAQ page.
Who we share your data with
We limit the data we share as much as possible. The only people/organizations that are granted access to personal data are:
- Our web hosting supplier, Bluehost, who provide the physical server infrastructure that our website operates on. You can find their Privacy policy here.
- Automattic, the company which provides our platform (WordPress) and site and security features (Jetpack, Askimet). You can find their privacy policy here and Jetpack’s specific privacy policy here.
- Defiant Inc, the providers of the Wordfence™ security software that protects our website. Only limited, technical data (such as device IP address, browser type/version, language etc) are transmitted.
These third parties have access to your personal information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.
We will disclose your personal information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our Site.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to Virginia at moretomrse@gmail.com.
Transfer of Data
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to United States and process it there.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.
More to Mrs. E will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.
