Happy December! Every Thursday or Friday in the weeks leading up to Christmas I will be posting an extra Gift Guide post to help you find the perfect gift for everyone on your list!
This week it’s a gift guide for the DIYer who is always coming up with new projects for around the home. The following gift ideas include some of my own favorites along with tools I know will come in handy with bigger projects.

Stocking Stuffer Gifts for the DIYer:
5. Paint Spout – These run for around $1 at your local hardware store and make pouring paint easier while maintaining your paint can for the long haul. Using the spout keeps the paint from getting into the ridges on the top of the paint can and therefore, keeps the paint lid from rusting to the can after a long time of storage!
8. Painter’s Pyramid Stands – These make painting larger furniture objects SO much faster and easier!
12. Comfort Spray Paint Grip – Use this when you’re spray painting larger objects and give your finger a break!
13. Rust-Oleum Metallic Spray Paint in Gold – Use this on everything from frames to shelving units!
Christmas Gifts for the DIYer:
1. Cordless Drill Driver Kit – Whether it’s hanging pictures, building shelves, or putting together an Ikea Wardrobe (like I did!), this will come in handy! (or try #7 with all the extra doodads!)
2. Large Level – This is one of those things you don’t think you need until you need it. Better to have it on hand!
3. Jig Saw – Super handy tool to have around to make small or large cuts easier! (another good jig saw)
4. Nailer – Installing molding or creating a fireplace surround? You need one of these. You will need an air compressor so if you don’t have one, maybe go with this nailer and compressor combo instead!
6. Compound Miter Saw with Laser – This is one of those items that, once you have, you use for more than you realize! Though you can spend $300 or more on one of these, this basic version is a great first step. It has great reviews and a laser guide!
9. Orbital Sander – A must-have for the serious Do-it-Yourselfer
10. Staple Gun – Great for Upholstery projects!
11. Tool Box – As you start collecting more and more tools, you need a place to store them! This is a great tool box for just that purpose!
That’s it for this week! Make sure to check out more Gift Guides HERE! If you’re a DIY guru, what’s on your list?! Let me know in the comments below!
